The Gel-Pro®
Imager is a complete system for digital imaging, documentation and analysis of DNA, protein and
membrane samples. The kit features a camera system with a LCD monitor and controller built into the enclosure
unit. The entire unit mounts on any transilluminator. It has built-in white light
epi-illumination and an ultraviolet
(UV)-protected viewing port, which aids band excising. The kit includes Media Cybernetics’ highly acclaimed
Gel-Pro Analyzer software, which enables qualitative molecular weight analysis, quantitative amount analysis and reporting for gels and dot/slot blots.
Don’t risk valuable time and money by attempting to use poorly integrated software and hardware components.
Gel-Pro Imager is the total integrated solution for electrophoresis image analysis. This kit provides you
with a better price/performance solution with guaranteed compatibility – all from one source!
Gel-Pro Imager can operate as a stand-alone system with a video printer attached for
quick and easy documentation and/or interfaced to a PC for image storage, analysis and reporting. At less than 18 inches high and
weighing less than 20 pounds, this complete compact system can easily be mounted and moved from UV to white light
transilluminators.
The kit operates in transillumination mode (UV fluorescence or white light) for all kinds of gels
(agarose ethidium bromide, Coomassie blue, silver stained). It also operates in reflectance mode (standard white light with ballasting that supports UV lamps) for documentation of Western, Southern and Northern blots. The enclosure has an easy access door panel to allow gel placement on the transillumination surface. At the top, there is an UV protected viewing portal to confirm fluorescence and enable band excising without exposure to UV radiation.
