Affordable State-of-the-Art Technology

If your work requires brilliant color images images, Roper Scientific offers the right digital imaging system, The engineering, performance, and pricing of the Photometrics CoolSNAP cf cameras enable you to stretch your research budget without compromising quality or results.

The CoolSNAP cf has a 20MHz clock speed for an image transfer rate of about 12.5 frames per second.

Brilliant Color Images

The Photometrics CoolSNAP cf camera incorporates cooled CCD technology and low-noise electronics to achieve superior low-light sensitivity. A 1392 x 1040 resolution sensor with small, square pixels ensures that each color image shows extraordinary detail. The high-speed digitizer, shutterless operation, and interline CCD provide several frames per second in focus mode and one full color image per second in acquire mode. These features make the CoolSNAP cf camera ideal for digital microscopy and many other biological applications.

Incredible Ease of Use

You can begin collecting data with your CoolSNAP cf in only a few minutes. Simply place the PCI card in your computer, hook up a single cable to the camera, and you're ready to start taking images. The compact CoolSNAP cf mounts easily to any microscope port that accepts a standard C-mount adapter. The single cable configuration allows uncluttered workspace and easy camera movement and transferal.

RS Image Software

The CoolSNAP cf system includes easy-to-use capture software for Windows 95/98/2000, Windows NT, and Macintosh operating systems. RS Image offers a number of powerful push-button features and pull-down menus, including auto-expose and color-balance functions. The intuitive toolbar makes acquiring and processing images quick and easy:

bulletPush a single button for fast focusing using the whole field of view
bulletClick on another button to acquire either a brilliant, high-fidelity color image or a high-resolution monochrome image (depending on camera model)
bulletZoom in and out on specific sections of your target image
bulletAdjust brightness, contrast, and gamma settings on each color channel individually or on all channels simultaneously
bulletCustomize digital image acquisition with user-configurable experiment setup files

Performance You Can Count On!

Many other performance features have been engineered into the CoolSNAP cf camera system, including:

bulletLarge array with 4.65 x 4.65-um pixels delivers "supravideo" resolution
bulletTrue 12-bit dynamic range allows for valid intra- or interimage comparison with 4,096 gray levels
bulletCarefully designed electronics maintain superb system linearity
bulletPrimary Point Digitization improves the sensitivity and dynamic range of the camera

In addition, the stringent manufacturing standards required by the ISO-qualifying process guarantee consistent, high-quality products and services.
